Freedom Meal: Student resistance & protest in wartime
At the heart of the cultural student centre of Amsterdam you can enjoy this year’s freedom soup while being educated about the rich history of student activism during the second world war and after WWII. Expect interesting (short) lectures, a training by Amnesty International about the right to protest and, of course, a delicious bowl of free soup. There will also be time to connect with (fellow) students to talk about freedom.
This event aims to bring together students, activists, and community members to celebrate freedom, explore the history of student activism, and equip individuals with the tools to champion global injustice.
The event is organised by ASVA, AISA and CREA and the lecture and training by Amnesty International will be English spoken. Dutch speakers are also welcome.
